(Persons sharing a lift
with someone staying 5+ nights but not staying 5+ nights themselves
are required to pay R75 for Airport pick ups and R15 from Pretoria
Bus/Train station).

Please note that any pick-ups requiring us to get
back to the hostel after midnight or for us to leave the hostel
before 6.45am will incur a flat fee of R50 for the bus station and
an additional charge of R100 for the airport. Other destinations we
will advise the extra price on request of the lift. This additional
charge includes those staying for 5 nights or more.
Pick up and drop offs are of
course dependent on our availability, when we are not available we
will obviously try to find the cheapest and best alternative for
you.
TOURS IN THE AREA…
We genuinely want to give you the
lowest price possible, if you hear or know of anyone who arranges a
cheaper trip from Pretoria to any of the places listed then please
tell us. We will not compromise on quality though. If you want more
details on what each trip includes please let us know and we will
happily supply you with the information you want. If you would like
to combine any half day tours into a full day trip please let us
know and we will tell you if it is possible and quote you a price.
Entrance fees and return transport are included. (If you want to go
to the tours with the cheaper competitor we will try to get you on a
tour with them!). All trips are of course dependent on availability.

We also run a scheme whereby we
ask all our guests if they would like to make a voluntary
contribution to assist us in helping send just a few of the less
fortunate people of South Africa on a trip, whether it be local or
to Kruger Park etc. Once we have sufficient donations, depending on
how quickly contributions are received, we will decide the
destination. We are liaising with some voluntary aid agencies who
will assist us in selecting the people who will benefit from these
trips.
We do this with no profit to
ourselves and we will even add 10% to all contributions received.
The contribution can be anything from 1 cent to 1000 Rand (or
more!!), it will be what you can afford if anything, any amount will
help. We will not look on anyone unfavourably should they choose not
to contribute, we completely understand that everyone travels to
their own budget, we are a backpackers after all!
TOURS TO KRUGER NATIONAL PARK…
KRUGER PARK
NO CAMPING… 3 DAYS… R1 995!!!!
5 DAYS… R2 495!!!!
We have numerous options for
Kruger trips, but this is our recommended choice... we think it is a
little different and very special! Not surprising at the price
offered!
Both trips include all
transportation (leaving and returning to Pretoria with Johannesburg
- just R50 more! - and Nelspruit pick ups and drop offs), all
accommodation, three meals per day and entrance fees. One of the
days will be spent visiting the Blyde River Canyon area including
Gods Window, 3 Rondavels, Bourkes Luck Pot Holes. The 5 day trip
also includes a trip to the Cheetah/Endangered Species Breeding
Project and also the Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre.
We have a choice of accommodation
for the two nights spent in the vicinity of the Park itself. The
first is literally over the road from the Park with a lookout to
view animals drinking from Crocodile River and in an area where many
animals roam free. There is an excellent en-suite dorm with a great
balcony, a double room with bathroom next door or a Wendy double,
electricity point available. Whichever room you stay in, you are
likely to fall asleep to the sensational sounds of lions roaring
across an often stunning night sky. There is also a swimming pool
and braai (bbq) area.
The second option, in perhaps an
area where there is a better chance of seeing animals in the Park
depending on the season, is of a chalet nature, sleeping three
persons per chalet. Although there are no animals roaming here, this
is substituted for spectacular views of the Mariepskop Mountains.

above but you will find our prices could be a little lower than
